David Popke Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, totally worn out and proclaiming, "Wow, what a ride!" On August 2, 2011 David skidded in from his ride after a long bumpy road with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma and kidney disease. David was born April 10, 1949. He is survived by his wife, Edye and children, Chris Popke, Karen Huston, Jason (Jaime) Grim and grandchildren, Domonique Huston, Aiden Vuke and Angela Grim (all of Tucson). Family members are: brothers, Greg (Donna), Colorado Springs, CO; Barry (Bonnie), New London, WI; Paul (Judy), Appleton, WI; Glenn, Bear Creek, WI and sister, Debbie Lamont, Kirkland, WA. A Celebration of Life is scheduled for later this month. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be sent to the Arizona Cancer Center.
