Dorothy Krutzsch

Dorothy Edens Krutzsch born Christmas Eve 1921, to Ben and Hilda Edens. After a courageous struggle, she passed away June 1, 2014. She met the love of her life, Philip Krutzsch, in high school. Marrying in 1940 they shared 74 happy years. Dorothy received her BA, Cum Laude from University of Pittsburgh in 1962. She was especially giving, contributing time and talent, particularly enjoying Assistance League, serving as Tucson Chapter president and also at the national level. She participated in the Garden Club of Tucson, The U of A Faculty Women's Club, and the Brewster Center. Her unselfish love, as wife, parent, and volunteer are forever special. To this glorious women, who gave so much and took so little, we give our love always. She is survived by husband, Philip; children, Lynda Butner (Steve) of Santa Barbara and Eric Krutzsch (Mary) of Tucson; sister, Betty Thomas of Carlsbad; five grandchildren and five great- grandchildren. Memorial Service: 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 8, 2014, Casas Adobes Congregational Church, UCC, 6801 North Oracle Rd. In lieu of flowers please contribute to the church or to the Assistance League of Tucson. Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel.
