Douglas Noll

Douglas Lee Noll age 69, passed away peacefully at home on February 15, 2011, after a tough battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents Lee and Viola Noll, and sister, Sheila Rae Huml. Doug was born in Mendota, Illinois, March 16, 1941. His family moved to Tucson, AZ when he was very young. He attended St. Ambrose Catholic School, Salpointe and the University of Arizona. Most of his career, he was involved in land planning and development. He worked for Pima County, Nanini Northwest, the Estes Company, and most recently his own consulting company. He served on many boards in the community and was active with various organizations, including the Knights of Columbus. Doug is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sharon; son, Douglas; daughter, Amanda Treu (Dennis); grandson, Austin Treu; several nieces and nephews, cousins, and many extended family and friends. He was an inspiration to all those who knew him, and always tried to make things right. He will be remembered for being a kind, gentle, easy-going, soul with a goofy, childish sense of humor. He will truly be missed by all those who knew him. Visitation will be held at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Avalon Chapel, 8090 N. Northern Ave., on Friday, February 18, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. -8:00 p.m., with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Odilia Catholic Church, 7570 Paseo del Norte at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 19, 2011 with Fr. Richard Troutman officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Hope Cemetery. There will be a Reception in the Church Hall following burial. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Doug's name to your favorite charity.
