Edith Buffum

Edith Buffum Passed away June 20, 2011 surrounded by her loving family. Born November 15, 1920 in Norfolk, Virginia. She is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Carl Buffum. In 1943, after six years apart, Carl proposed in a letter and Edith bravely boarded a train from New York to Tucson to start her new life. She is survived by her children, Nancy Harris, Bruce Buffum, LouAnn Prince and Carl (Skip) Buffum Jr.; seven grandchildren, Erin Pearson, Ananda Harris, Bruce Buffum Jr., Jennifer Pintor, Kelli Trueba, Abby Prince and Taylor Buffum, as well as four beautiful great-grandchildren, Isabelle and Clayton Pearson, JC Trueba and Jayden Buffum. She was a member of the Catalina Jr. Women's Club, the Ocotillo Club, Postscripts and The Thursday Bridge Club. Edie loved to play bridge and nothing would please her more than trumping your Ace. We will miss her love and her laughter. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to your favorite animal shelter. Her Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, June 27, 2011 at ADAIR FUNERAL HOME, Avalon Chapel, 8090 N. Northern Ave. (742-7901)
