FRANCIS, Frances B., born February 10, 1922, in Jackson, Miss., passed away peacefully May 5, 2012, after a short illness. Fran was an adventurous airplane pilot; she enjoyed participating in air races around the country. She was an accomplished artist and an avid bridge player. She loved to travel the world and had visited, and lived in, many foreign countries during her lifetime. Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Col. Rod Francis and is survived by her long-time, loving, partner, Percy Brown; one daughter, Sherry Stepleton (Ben); two grandchildren, Tara and Jason and four great-grandchildren. Services will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the Hospice Family Care, Inc. in Tucson, AZ.
