Frank Cermak

Frank Charles Cermak, Jr. 94, passed away in his sleep February 12, 2012 in Tucson, AZ. Born October 19, 1917 in Solon, OH to Frank C. Cermak Sr. and Stella Cermak (Kofron) predeceased by his parents, wife of 57 years Rosemary (Srp); brothers Ed, Lawrence and Fred. Survived by son, Frank J. Cermak (Deanna) of Tucson; grandchildren, Daniel Cermak (Nicole) of San Diego, and Sara Cermak (fiance Stephen Adamo) of Hoboken, NJ and nieces and nephews from Ohio to Florida to California. Frank was a longtime employee of the East Ohio Gas Co. His father and brother Lawrence also worked for EOG. Frank retired from EOG, and moved to Tucson from Mayfield Hts., OH in 1981. Frank was a proud U.S. Army veteran of WWII, crossing Europe with the First Army, Third Armored Div. He was a member of the VFW and enjoyed pinochle and weekly bocce matches with friends until he became ill last year. Frank will be interred at Holy Hope Cemetery in Tucson beside his beloved Rosemary. Visitation at 6:00 p.m. Friday, February 17, 2012 at ADAIR FUNERAL HOME, Avalon Chapel (742-7901) with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. Interment at Holy Hope will follow a funeral mass at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 18, 2012 In lieu of flowers please remember our disabled veterans or missions serving Native American.
