Gary F. Fay died January 2, 2011 in Tucson, AZ of ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) and FTD. Gary was born November 4, 1948 in Minneapolis, MN; son of the late Franklin and Patricia Fay. He graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1970. After 33 years as an air traffic controller for the Federal Aviation Administration, he retired in 2004. He worked at nine different FAA facilities and served as Air Traffic Manager of Tucson TRACON for eight years. Gary loved aviation and was a pilot for 46 years. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Paula Corrette-Fay, and two children, Lindsay and Alex. The family will hold a Private Celebration at Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association Foundation or to the Rocky Mountain Nature Association Land Protection Fund.
