Gary Hoke Tucson, Arizona Obituary

Gary Hoke

Gary Lee Hoke, 54, of Tucson Arizona, passed away on 20 Apr 2015. Gary is survived by his loving wife, Gail of 26 years; his sister Lisa Tonellato and her family of Tacoma, WA; and his brother Randy Hoke of Chicago, IL. Gary was known as “Gramps”, “Batman”, and “Uncle Dogface” to his family and friends. Necessities in Gary’s life included laughter, family, friends, and fast cars and he was always a guardian of the underdog. One of his favorite quotes growing up was “Friendship is like peeing on yourself, everyone can see it, but only you get the warm feeling that it brings.” His family would like to honor his wishes of no service. He said he would rather have a party in celebration of his life. He said he could never stomach the thought of people mourning over his “dead body”. In lieu of flowers, his family asks that donations be made toward the research of diabetes and heart disease. A Memorial Celebration in his honor will be held by invitation from family. For more information, please see Gary’s Facebook page. Arrangements by Adair Funeral Homes-Dodge Chapel.
