Grady Bradley Obituary

Grady A. Bradley Jr. a long-time resident of Tucson, died here Sunday, July 1, 2012. He was born November 29, 1933 in Phoenix and remained a resident of Arizona his entire life. After graduation from North Phoenix High School, he served in the United States Army for two years. Upon his discharge he returned to his home town and attended Arizona State University. He graduated in 1960 with a Bachelor of Science degree. He completed his studies at Southern Methodist University, receiving a Master of Business Administration degree. Grady spent nearly his entire work life with The Valley National Bank. In that capacity he lived in several parts of the state, including Phoenix, Prescott, Bagdad and Sierra Vista. The last 20 years of his career, he served as a Vice President of VNB, managing several branches in the Tucson area, the last being at Oracle and Grant. He retired in 1992. A member of the Rotary Club and Oro Valley Country Club, he was an avid golfer and an enthusiastic amateur photographer. He was married for 47 years to Marcia Merdian Bradley. She predeceased him in 2006. He is survived by his sons, Jack and Brian; his daughter-in-law, Kelly Bradley; grandchildren, Trevor, Rachel, Luke and Kyle, all of Tucson, and a sister, Carolyn Davis, of Franklin, Tennessee. A daughter, Patricia (Trish) Bradley died in 2000. A Memorial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 9, 2012, at St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, 5150 North Valley View Road, Tucson, Arizona. Donations can be sent to Alzheimer's and Aging Research Center in lieu of flowers. Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOME, Avalon Chapel.
