Harris Wilson Obituary

WILSON, Harris Flanagin (Willey) was born December 20, 1926 in Alexandria, Louisiana to Garland Eagle Wilson and Anna Mae Flanagin Wilson. Mr. Wilson, know to his friends as Willey, passed away peacefully at his home in Oro Valley, AZ on January 11, 2011. Mr. Wilson served as 1st Lieutenant in the United Sates Air Force during the Korean War after graduating in the top 15% of his class from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. He also served as a pilot in the Strategic Air Command. After leaving the service in 1958, he became an electrical engineer and worked for Emerson Electric in Northern California until 1999, when he moved to Arizona. Mr. Wilson is survived by three sisters, Mary Ann (Allen ) Nichols, Betty Garland Enloe-Wilson and Cynthia Louise (Marvin) Thiels; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, January 17, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at ADAIR FUNERAL HOME, Avalon Chapel, 8090 North Northern Avenue (742-7901)
