Harry Hawkins

Harry Joseph "Joe" Hawkins was born on October 29, 1918 and passed away peacefully on July 29, 2012 at the age of 93. He was preceded in death by his wife, Geneva; daughter, Ramah; son, Denzel and grandson, Ron. He is survived by his sister, Barbara McPhearson; daughter, Linda (Bill) Mason; daughter-in-law, Russellyn Hawkins; son-in-law, Richard Koleas; ten grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, six great-great- grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and best friend, Mary Smith. Joe was the most amazing and caring person and will be greatly missed by all. Joe retired as a machinist and tool and die maker from Hughes Aircraft in 1981. He was also a well skilled auto mechanic and woodworker. He took great pride in his work and made many people happy with his finished projects. He was nicknamed "Mr. Fixit". Joe was also an active member at Catalina United Methodist Church. Friends and relatives may call on Friday, August 3, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. -7:00 p.m. at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel. Services will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Catalina United Methodist Church, 2700 E. Speedway, Tucson, AZ 85716. Graveside Services will follow at East Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Shriners or Salvation Army.
