Hyman Capin Tucson, Arizona Obituary

Hyman Capin

Hyman E. Capin was born on August 11, 1937 and passed on June 12, 2011. A lifetime resident of Arizona, he was raised in Nogales and moved to Tucson in 1994. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Lillian Capin. Hyman is survived by his daughters, Audrey, Melissa and Lillian (Michael) Swenor; and grandchildren, Jordan, Samantha, Alec, Ryan, Joshua and Jack. He is also survived by his siblings, Harlan Capin, Bette Cooper and Debbie Stuchen-Rosenberg along with many loving relatives. He was a smart and successful businessman before retiring and moving to Tucson. A staunch sports fanatic, Hyman was a lifelong, die-hard fan of the NY Yankees and U of A basketball. As a strong Republican he enjoyed talking politics and engaging others into debates. Hyman had a fantastic sense of humor, although sometimes dry, he loved hearing and sharing a good joke. Hyman was old school in many ways --- a dapper dresser when the occasion called for it and nobody could top his favorite musical artist, Frank Sinatra. Hyman was a deeply loyal, thoughtful, and very generous man; always taking special care of his children and grandchildren, spoiling those he loved and care for, including his rescue dogs. A special heartfelt thanks to David Cooper for his tireless love and endless devotion to an uncle he dearly loved. Hyman truly had a heart of gold and will be dearly missed. The Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, June 16, 2011 at Congregation Or Chadash, 3939 N. Alvernon Way. Remembrances in Hyman's name can be made in the form of a donation to the Arizona Poodle Rescue at 43448 W. Rio Bravo Drive, Maricopa, AZ 85239 or The American Heart Association at American Heart Association , National Center, 7272 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75231. Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES.
