Irwina DeMarco Tucson, Arizona Obituary

Irwina DeMarco

Irwina "Jackie" Jackson DeMarco 3/5/1929 - 11/26/2013. Jackie passed away quietly November 26th, after a long and courageous battle with numerous health issues. She was born March 5, 1929, in Washington D.C., and raised in Capitol Heights, Maryland. She moved to Tucson, Arizona, in 1952 and worked in outside sales for Krueger Manufacturing for 32 years. In 1959 she married Jack DeMarco, and ten years later they bought Law's Upholstery. Jackie and Jack raised five wonderful children and spent 38 years together before Jack preceded her in death. In 1999 Jackie met another very special man that came into her life and swept her off her feet--her beloved Rudy Polcari. Rudy always took good care of her, loved her, and was at her side until the end. The DeMarco family will always be grateful and thankful for all that you have done for her, Rudy. She is survived by daughters: Irene Armstrong (Danny) of Locust Grove, VA, Shirley DeMarco (Tony) of Tucson, AZ, Jacquelyn West (Norris) of Green Valley, AZ; and son, Russ DeMarco (Kim) of Green Valley, AZ. She also leaves behind eight grandchildren, 13 great- grandchildren, extended family members, and many friends. Jackie, you will be missed and always remembered for your great sense of humor and incredible strength when all was stacked against you. It is time to rest, Jackie--but please always watch over us. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Uptown Optimist Club, P.O. Box 12515, Tucson, AZ 85732. Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd., Tucson, AZ.
