Isabel Ortiz Medina, 58, of Bagdad, Arizona, died peacefully February 2nd, 2013, surrounded by loved ones. Isabel is survived by her devoted husband of 40 years Juan “Larry” Medina; Loving mother of Frances and Candie Medina, Laura Perez and son-in-law Victor Perez; Cherished grandmother of Ysabel Santiago, Andrew Medina, Marisa Santiago, Lorenzo Medina, Thomas Medina, and Victor “Teddy” Perez Jr.; Her father David Contreras, brother Henry Ortiz, sisters Clorie Buzan & Rose Hunter. She also leaves behind many brothers-in-law, sisters in-law, nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends. She was selfless with her love for her family. She is preceded in death by her mother Francis Contreras and mother-in-law Julia Medina. Isabel was born on July 15, 1954 in Truth or Consequence, NM. She grew up in Catalina, Arizona. She married the love of her life on December 22, 1972; they moved to Bagdad, Arizona, in 1978 to raise their family. Her greatest joys were her grandchildren. Family and Friends are invited to attend visitation at the Adair Funeral Home Avalon Chapel, 8090 N. Northern Ave., Oro Valley, Arizona, on Friday, February 8th, at 5pm followed by a Rosary at 7pm; Funeral Mass will be Saturday, February 9th, at 9:00am, at St. Odilia’s Catholic Church, 7570 N. Paseo Del Norte, Tucson, Arizona. Burial will immediately follow at Holy Hope Cemetery.
