Jim Neihart Tucson, Arizona Obituary

Jim Neihart

Jim Neihart passed away peacefully alongside his loving wife, Sharon Neihart, sister, Pamela Tessmer, mother and father, Josephine and Jim Neihart, and sister-in-law, Kim Snodgrass, Thursday morning, February 14, 2013 at Tucson Medical Center. Jim loved the finer things in life: cooking and cuisine, a diverse collection of guitars, and of course, distilled spirits of varying essences. Jim's accomplishments, much like his hobbies and sentiments, were outstanding and larger than life. After graduating from the University of Arizona, joining the Navy and completing naval aviation training as an officer, establishing and operating a successful dry-cleaning business, Jim was honored by his community by recently being elected to the Tucson Airport Authority; he was also proud of and immensely enjoyed the Tucson Conquistadors. Also close to his heart was his affiliation with the local men's social group The Centurions, Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity, and Traditions at the UofA. At this time, the Neihart family respectfully requests privacy, but would be honored to have any and all donations sent to The Tucson Conquistadors or The Humane Society of Southern Arizona in lieu of flowers. A private, family-only Funeral Mass celebrating Jim's life and many accomplishments will be held this Monday, February 18, 2013. Although Jim was only 54 years old when he passed-away, his family and friends are comforted in knowing that they were blessed by his full and successful life. We love you, Jim; we will miss you immensely, knowing that although you are no longer with us in body, you will always remain with us every time we enjoy life to the fullest, achieve our hard-won goals, or even simply enjoy a fine martini. Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOME, Dodge Chapel.
