Obituary
Joan Barbara Larned, 7/4/1931 - 7/5/2013. Born in Syracuse and raised in Fulton, N.Y. In 1950 she moved to Florida with parents Etta and Benjamin and then to Tucson in 1960. She loved music, taught piano for many years, sang in Gilbert and Sullivan operettas with the Florida Symphony, and was a member of the Foothills Women's Chorus locally. She worked with "Mo" Udall until his election to Congress but declined to move to Washington, instead staying in Tucson to work in the Pima County Superior Court as a Judicial Administrative Assistant and later for the Pima County Treasurer's office. Her love of God, music, friends, dog "Candee" and life in general will be remembered by many. Joan is a member of Christ the King Episcopal Church and The Ladies of the G.A.R. Services on Wednesday July 17, 2013, at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd., Viewing at 9:30 a.m., Services at 10:00 a.m., followed by Graveside at East Lawn Cemetery.
