Johanna Baldwin

Johanna (Jopy) Catharina Baldwin 84, died peacefully May 29, 2014. She was born April 30, 1930 in Tilburg, The Netherlands. Preceded in death by her infant son, Mark; her parents, Joannes and Wilhelmina De Lepper, Maria and Theo de Vroe and Marcia Hong. Survived by sister, Mieke Greven; cousins, Frank (Gerty) deVroe, Hein (Annemie) de Vroe, Betty de Vroe, Myriam Van Strijp de Vroe of The Netherlands; sisters-in-law, Tina Baldwin and Maria Baldwin; Jeanie Moga and LaMonte (Stephanie) Hunley whom she loved like a daughter and son as well as grandchildren, Matthew and Paul Moga and Kendra and Devyn Hunley and her wonderful friend and caregiver, Nancy Lehrkamp. Jopy survived the Nazi occupation during WWII. After leaving Tilburg she lived in Australia, Canada and the USA. Jopy took pride in her work first with the Dutch consulate and then with Equitable and National Life. She was active in her church. Although confined to her home for the last few years she lead an active social life reaching out to her many friends via phone, email and US mail! She never missed someone's birthday. Thank you to Casa De La Luz and Emeritus at Pantano and to the staff and members of Immanuel for their ongoing love and support. A Memorial Service will be held at Immanuel Presbyterian, 9252 E. 22nd on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations to Memorial Garden at Immanuel Presbyterian, Alisa's Angels (www.alisasangels.org) or Humane Society of Southern Arizona. Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel.
