JACOBSEN, John R. "Jake", died at Peppi's House Hospice in Tucson on Wednesday, July 4, 2012. He was born in Oklahoma City, OK on April 29, 1925. He received a Bachelor's degree in 1950 at the University of Arizona (Tucson) College of Geology and Mines. His career was as a Land Surveyor and Civil Engineer in Southern California. He lived his life fully and completely; enjoying golf, reading, sailing and world travel. He had a questioning mind and capacity for lifelong learning. John always found a great group of coffee buddies to talk politics and pastimes. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Doris Jacobsen of Livingston, TX and Tucson, AZ; daughter, Nancy Ryan of Chandler, AZ. At his request, a Celebration of his life will be held Saturday, July 28, 2012 at Broadway Proper, 400 S.
