Kenneth L. Gates 84, of Tucson, AZ died on May 26, 2011. born in Quinlan, OK, on July 3, 1926, the youngest of 11 children. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Jean Gates, and son, Ronald Gates. He was a career soldier of 29 years. First Sergeant Gates was action in WWII, Korea and Vietnam twice before his retirement to Watsonville, Ca in 1968. He worked at Green Giant until 1988, at which time he moved to Tucson, AZ. His bravery, humility, loyalty and compassion will be dearly missed. Service to be held at Southside Presbyterian Church, 317 W. 23rd St., at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 10, 2011. Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOME, Dodge Chapel.
