SHOWALTER, Lucille sadly passed away on July 12, 2017. Born on July 11, 1924 in Newton, KS, she was raised in Hesston, KS. She was married for 59 years to Sidney Showalter, now deceased. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ivan and Stella Egy and sisters, Opal Thole and Elaine Nigh. She is survived by daughter, Norma Showalter (Michael Bolchalk); sons, Timothy Showalter and Lee (Beverly) Showalter; granddaughters, Anne Bolchalk, Julie Bolchalk, Emma Bolchalk Porter (Donald Porter) and Erica Naples (Matthew Walter); grandson, Michael Showalter, and great-granddaughters, Madeline Quinlan and McKenzie Walter. Lucille was devoted to her family and great friend to many people throughout her life. Early baby boomers who attended Ft. Lowell Elementary School may recall their playground monitor known as "Mrs. Showalter" who was often in their midst. A Memorial Service and reception will be held Thursday, July 20, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mark's Presbyterian Church, 3809 E. 3rd Street, Tucson, AZ 85716. Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOME, Dodge Chapel.
