Maralyn Gregory

Maralyn D. Gregory Maralyn N. Davis was born June 17, 1930 in Beecher City, Illinois and she died on June 20, 2011. Maralyn was the eldest of four girls and one boy born to George and Mary Davis. She graduated from Beecher City High School in 1948, Eastern Illinois State College in 1952 with a Bachelor Degree in Home Economics and Chemistry and in 1973 earned a Master Degree from Chapman College. Maralyn met and married her college sweetheart of five years, Charles Gregory on October 4, 1953. Through more than 57 years they remained devoted to each other. Maralyn was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, one granddaughter, Andrea and a beloved nephew, Scotty. Upon the death of her parents, Maralyn and Charles undertook the responsibility of raising her brother, George Scott Davis as her son. She is survived by her husband, Charles Gregory; two sons, John D. Gregory and Joe K. Gregory; her daughter, Mary S. Gregory-Adams; her siblings, George Scott Davis and Nora Ellen Miller and seven grandchildren; along with numerous nephews, nieces and cousins. Maralyn was a wonderful Christian mother and she practiced what she believed every day of her life. In lieu of flowers should you desire to memorialize Maralyn's life, it is the wishes of the family that a donation to the "Renewal Fund" of East Tucson Baptists Church be made in her honor.
