Marilyn Frances Jacobson 87, born September 9, 1924, to Charles W. and Vina M. McCarthy in Chicago, Illinois, completed her journey on September 20, 2011. Marilyn is survived by her brother, Donald (Carolyn) McCarthy, Broomfield, CO; her daughter, Sherrie (Gary) Hobson, Tucson, AZ; her son, Lee Sheldon Jacobson Jr., Aurora, Ill ; her daughter, Patsy (Mark) Spillman, Tucson, AZ; eight grandchildren and eight great- grandchildren. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Vina McCarthy; brothers, John (Jack) McCarthy and Charles (Chuck) McCarthy; husband, Lee Sheldon Jacobson, Sr.; daughter, Denise Frances Ross Kouratou and son- in-law, Jeffrey Ross. Visitation will be 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Sunday, September 25, 2011 with a Rosary recited at 4:00 p.m. at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Avalon Chapel, 8090 N. Northern Ave. Funeral Mass will be Monday, September 26, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 8650 N. Shannon Rd., with burial to follow at Holy Hope Cemetery.
