Mary Jo Frazelle
Mary Jo Frazelle 92, of Tucson, passed away on December 26, 2010. Mary Jo was born on March 14, 1918 in Tucson, AZ, to Earline and Earnest Russell. She graduated from Tucson Senior High School and attended the University of Arizona. While at the U of A, Mary Jo joined the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority and met her first husband, Albert G. Coulson, at one of their social events. They were married in 1938 and had a son, Allan, the following year. The marriage did not survive the war years and Mary Jo returned to Tucson where she worked for the YWCA, Pima County Agriculture Office, City Van Moving & Storage and Dusty Rhodes State Farm Insurance. In 1951, Mary Jo married Edward Frazelle and they had a daughter, Barbara. Mary Jo was a gourmet cook, an avid reader (cook books, of course) and loved to garden. She is survived by a brother, Frank Russell; nieces, Patti Fredrickson (John) and Karen Russell (Ernie, deceased) and families; a son, Allan Coulson (Magdalena); grandchildren, Allan A. (Katty) and Patrick; grandchildren, Mateo, Michael and Sabina; a daughter, Barbara Luckett (Richard) and granddaughter, Jessica Jacobs. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude for the wonderful care Mary Jo received from the staff at the Mountain View Care Facility.
