Obituary
Mary "Maria" True Hill born 1925 in Washington, D.C. died December 31, 2010 in Tucson, Arizona, after a long battle with Myelodeplastic syndrome (MDS). Mary was raised as the only girl with five brothers, two of whom survive her, Jim True of Oji, Calif. and Bill True of Sebring, Florida. Mary moved to Tucson in 1958 with her three children, Lewis McInnis of Ft. Collins, Colo., Kristen McDilda and Daryl Widger, both of Tucson, Ariz. who survive her and will miss her deeply. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Hill whose son, Jim Hill lives in Prescott, Ariz. She had three grandchildren, Amanda, Bryan and Shannon; numerous stepchildren and grandchildren with whom she maintained loving relationships and cared for deeply. Mary enjoyed a busy social life; as homemaker and hostess to family and friends. She participated in Waamies, Woman's oriental Shrine numerous gatherings and church functions. She enjoyed watercolor painting, traveling, and her summers in her cabin in the White Mountains. Thank you to those who helped Mary battle her long illness at the UofA Cancer center and to Casa De La Luz for their excellent, sensitive care during her last days. Memorial Services to be held at Grace St.Paul's Episcopal Church, 2331 E. Adams, Tucson, Arizona 85719 on Friday, January 7, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to be held at a later date at the Church of our Saviour of the White Mountains. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Grace St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Arrangements entrusted to ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Avalon Chapel (742-7901).
