Moses Tarpinian Obituary

Moses "Moe" Tarpinian November 14, 1930-February 19, 2017 Moses was born in Chicago, IL to Parsek and Lucia Tarpinian. He had 5 siblings; Elizabeth, Avedis (Vito), Nancy, Aznif and Anne. He was a hardworking man always supporting his family. He left school to help the family during the depression and eventually learned the carpet installation trade. He married Louise in 1951 and they had Victoria and then Diane. He remained in Chicago until his Mother died. Then in 1990, he moved to Tucson, AZ to be near his daughter and grandchildren. After retiring, he went back to work at the University of Arizona as an Office Assistant, then 6 years later he worked as a kitchen prep at Burger King. He was the oldest employee at Burger King in So. Arizona. In July 2016, he underwent thyroid cancer surgery. Unfortunately, many health complications occurred and for the last 7 months he remained in long-term care. He fought hard to come back and recover, but his health weakened and he went Home to the Lord peacefully on February 19 and joined his beloved mother, father, brother and 3 sisters. Moses is survived by his 2 children: Victoria Tarpinian Laraia (Frank), Diane (Tarpinian) Schaller; 3 grandchildren: Christina Mnatzaganian, Adam Mnatzaganian (Kaylin), Stephanie Schaller and Great-grandson Jordan Mnatzaganian. There will be a huge void in our lives without Moses on this earth. He was one-of-a kind. We will miss his sense of humor, his love of youthfulness, his quickness, his generosity and his love. Celebration of Life at Adair Funeral Homes Dodge Chapel, March 10, 2017 from 10a.m.- Noon. Donations may be made to St. Judes Children Hospital or American Cancer Society.
