Peter Hillen Obituary

Peter "Scottie" Hillen passed away on May 1, 2015, at 81. Peter was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend; everyone who knew him loved him. He is survived by his three children, Joanne Painter, Gerald Hillen and Bryan Hillen (NJ); his grandchildren, Brooke Painter, Kyle Painter, Bryan Painter, Christina, Melissa and Nicole Hillen (NJ); his sisters, Janette Robertson (Canada), Margret Elby (FL) and brother, Charles Hillen (Scotland) and several great-grandchildren who all adored him. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of nearly 58 years, Mary Hillen. Peter was a proud Scotsman. He retired from the BHP in San Manuel, where he earned the nickname "Scottie". He was known for his love of playing the drums with the bagpipes, his wittiness, and his wonderful sense of humor. He was the "rock" of our family and we know that we have gained a very special angel to watch over us all. He will forever be missed and will always hold a special place in the hearts of all who knew him. Services will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Sacred Heart Church at 10:00 a.m. Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES (Dodge Chapel).
