Rodney "Ronnie" Davis Dowdall, 74, went home to be with the Lord on August 26, 2013. She was the beloved daughter of the late Louise and Charles Davis. Ronnie was born in Milwaukee, WI, on December 6, 1938. She spent her childhood and young adulthood in Chicago, IL. Ronnie attended the Latin School of Chicago and Bennett College in Millbrook, NY. She moved to Tucson, AZ, with her family in 1975. Ronnie was an exceptional interior decorator who loved to entertain in style and was known for her great generosity. Ronnie had a love of animals and nature, the arts, travel, and gardening. She is preceded in death by her dear husband, Richard Dowdall; sister, Marcey Davis Mills; and step-son, Doug Dowdall. She is survived by her daughter, Brooke Charpentier; son-in-law, Christophe; and grandchildren, Spencer, Justin, and Katelyn Charpentier; niece, Kim Ourand; and great nephews, Malik and Mason Ourand; nephew, David Mills; step-son, Reg Dowdall, his wife, Celeste, and grandchildren, Jenny Dowdall, Alli Ellison, and Ryan Dowdall; step-daughter, Jacque Sheafe, and her husband, Chris; grandson, Skyler Dowdall; and step-daughter, Cindy Dowdall-Thomae; and grandchildren, Miquela and Mitchell Thomae. We love you and miss you, Mom, Nana, Grammy, (Aunt) Ronnie. A celebration of Ronnie's life will be held Saturday, October 5, 2013, 3:00 p.m., at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, 7650 North Paseo Del Norte, Tucson, AZ 85704. The family suggests memorial donations be sent to The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) or The Nature Conservancy. Arrangements by Adair Funeral Home, Dodge Chapel.
