Rosemarie Alfano Obituary

Rosemarie Alfano passed away peacefully on March 9, 2011. She was born on November 16, 1930 in Brooklyn, New York. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Thomas and Felicia Palotta, and her brother, Frank Palotta. Rosemarie began her forty year career as a Registered Nurse upon graduation from Prospect Heights School of Nursing, New York. She moved to Tucson in 1972 where she continued to share her passion for nursing at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Tucson Medical Center. She helped to found the St. Joseph’s Bone Bank and instructed aspiring medical professionals at Pima Medical Institute. Rosemarie was a very compassionate and beautiful person, inside and out. She loved to be surrounded by beauty through nature, travel, fashion and interior design. Most important to Rosemarie was her family. Her devoted children, Debra and Bill Romancho, Joanne Alfano, and Ralph Alfano of Tucson, Arizona survive her. Her adoring grandchildren include Nicole Romancho, Lauren Romancho, Braden Alfano and Jessica Alfano. Her sister and brother-in-law, Lorraine and Peter Danna, sister-in-law, Mildred Palotta and many nieces and nephews who lovingly called her “Aunt Ro”. Her love and beauty will live in our hearts forever. The family requests donations be made to Tucson Medical Center 5301 E. Grant Rd. Attn: Peppi’s House, Tucson, AZ. 85712
