Rosemarie Bruckheimer

Rosemarie Bruckheimer 80, of Tucson, passed away on Sunday, March 18, 2012. Rosemarie was born on November 20, 1931, in Danbury, CT. She graduated from Stamford high school in 1949 and received her nursing degree in 1952 from the Hospital of St. Raphael School of Nursing. Rosemarie was a trailblazer in the field of nursing where she graduated from the second class of nurse practitioners in 1978 from Cornell University – New York Hospital School of Nursing. After a 48 year career in nursing, she retired from the Tucson VA hospital after 23 years of service. Rosemarie was an avid reader and gardener. She enjoyed spending time with friends and her daughters and grandchildren and loved Jeopardy, crossword puzzles and the lottery. One good friend described Rosemarie's heart as a hotel as it had room for everyone. Rosemarie is survived by brother, Edward DeNike; daughters, Tamaryn Howard (Richard), Kim Means, Ellen Fahl and Beth Bruckheimer (Jeff Kiefer). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Justin Howard (Leslie), Kayce Howard (Ian Nagus), Shawn Heilman, Derrick Fahl, Taylor Fahl and Sarena Fahl and great-grandchild, Max Howard. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Tucson Humane Society. A Memorial Service celebrating Rosemarie's life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 24, 2012 at the ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd., Tucson, AZ 85716.
