Susan “Susie” Lee (Hawkins) McIntyre Susie passed away at Casa De La Luz Hospice in Tucson on May 5, 2016 at 78. Susie was born January 29, 1938 in Denver to Horace N. & Katherine Vickery Hawkins. Susie was preceded by her parents, Sister Larrie Tingstad, Brother Bud Hawkins, Son Mark McIntyre, Father of her children Lanny McIntyre and her Life Partner & RVing buddy Thomas Broersma. She is survived by her children Jamie L McIntyre (Tom Fleming), Michael P McIntyre (Paula), Katherine M McIntyre (Jerry Abbott), daughter-in-law Sheila McIntyre (Mark): 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Sister-in-Law Nancy Hawkins, niece Lynette & family, nephew Fred & family, Brother-in-law Michael R McIntyre (Anita), Sister-in-law Shari Doherty (Kevin) nephews Matt, Kelcey, Troy & Chris. Extended family Bill & Tracee Price, John & Penny Tingstad, Kent & Edwina Vickery, Tom Broersma’s children Lori Biggs, Denise Hall, William Broersma, Gary Broersma and Terri Broersma (Rich) and their families, the Broadmoor Bowling Alley crew and many dear & loving friends. Susie spent her ‘growing up years’ at Mt. Vernon & Golden, CO and stayed in touch with classmates from school there. She was an avid sports nut & fierce Broncos and Cardinals fan, loved fishing, traveling and the beach wherever she was. She and Tom had the good fortune of RVing for several years traveling to visit family and friends across the country before they came to settle in Tucson. No services are planned at this time but maybe something at ‘The Lake’ in the future. Arrangements were lovingly taken care of by Adair Funeral Homes in Tucson.
