Sylvia Catherine Griffith, 81, died Thursday March 14, 2013, with family and friends by her side in Portland, OR. She was born in Santa Fe, NM to Herman Lavern and Mary Grace Feld, and was preceded in death by her husband of 26 years, Andrew Carnegie Griffith, in 1998. A long term resident of Tucson, AZ, Sylvia was an avid member of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church Choir. In addition to singing and sharing time with family, friends and her dear pets, she enjoyed traveling, sewing, and practicing the piano. Sylvia is survived by a sister, Phyllis Jacobi of Lancaster, CA, a brother, Lavern Feld of Tucson, AZ; a stepson, Andrew J. Griffith of Tucson; and several foster children, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and cousins. Friends are welcome to join a 10:30 am graveside service at All Faiths Memorial Park, 2151 S. Avenida Los Reyes (East of Houghton Rd., off of 22nd St.), Friday, May 10, 2013, and a funeral Mass at 11:30 am, Saturday, May 11, 2013 at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church (at Campbell and Lee Streets)..
