Thomas S. Iannaccone Tom passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 21, in Tucson, AZ. He was 91 years old. He was born on December 5, 1919, to Theresa and Modesto Iannaccone in New York City, New York. Tom grew up in Rochester, New York, along with brothers, Jim, Joe and sister, Fan. From 1942 to 1945, he proudly served in the U.S. Army Headquarters Detachment VII Corps. He fought in the Battle of the Bulge and landed on Utah Beach on D-Day. After World War II, he met and married the love of his life, his wife of 64 years Virginia. He earned a bachelor's degree at Syracuse University in political science and journalism. Among Tom's greatest joys was building a house from the ground up for his family on Howland Ave. in Brighton, New York. Following a career as the executive secretary of the Rochester Civic Music Association and the general manager of the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, Tom served as manager for Grammy Award-winning musician Chuck Mangione for more than a decade. He retired to Tucson, AZ, some 30 years ago where he and Virginia became members and active supporters of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his loving wife, Virginia; daughter, Judith and son, James; as well as beloved extended family Bonnie and Fred DiNoto and Jami Josifek. His intelligence, wit, integrity and thoughtfulness will be missed by everyone who was privileged to know him. A private memorial will be held at a later date.
