Verla E Goff

Verla E. Goff 102, resident of Tucson since 1962, died September 15, 2015. Born May 1, 1913 in Seiling, OK. She is survived by her son, James R. Goff (Ann) of Tucson; daughter, Ruth Penton of Alabama; granddaughter, Ami Goff (Aaron Alexovich) of Pasadena, California and nephew, Bruce Lincoln of Tucson. Verla was married to the Rev. Reginald Goff. She served her churches as an accomplished pianist and organist for 30 years, a Sunday school teacher for 45 years. She and Reg spent four months flying around the world holding prayer schools in 11 countries. She was on the first Women's Walk to Emmaus in Arizona, spoke and worked in prayer retreats in 32 states and 12 countries. She was a pastor's wife, mother and spiritual guide to many people throughout her life. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, September 26, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, Tucson, AZ, with the Rev. Beth Rambikur presiding. Memorial gifts may be given to First United Methodist Church, 915 E. 4th Street, Tucson, AZ, 85719. Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel.
