Veronica (Vera) Minnick, 91, born in Bronx, NY, on December 6, 1921, passed away peacefully in Pinetop, AZ, on August 2, 2013. A longtime resident of Tucson, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Edward, and is survived by her children, Patricia (Robert) Blassingame and Michael (Christine) Minnick; grandchildren, Stephanie (Jeff) Kaye, Christopher (Carin) Sapp, Michael (Wendy) Sapp, Rob Blassingame, Kevin Minnick, Lisa Minnick, and Michelle Minnick; and five great-grandchildren. She was an active member of St. Joseph's Parish until moving to Pinetop in 2007. Retiring from the University of Arizona in 1987, she was the Executive Assistant to the Dean of the College of Agriculture. Visitation will be at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd. on Thursday, August 8, 2013, from 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m., with Funeral Services at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Hope Cemetery Mausoleum. Ground burial to follow.
