Virginia Martin

Virginia Kulow Martin was born on August 7, 1926 in Ames, Iowa. She graduated from Iowa State University in Home Economics. She married her husband, Arthur Martin, in 1949. Together they had two children and moved to Tucson in 1960. "Ginny" went on to earn a masters degree from the University of Arizona in 1966. She was very involved with Catalina United Methodist Church, worked in the Pima county extension office, and was active in the YMCA. Her greatest love was always for her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, son, Andy (Marla) Martin and her daughter, Lori (John) DeWitt; her grandsons, Seth (Brittany) Martin and Jeremy Martin; her sisters, Betty Pawley and Jody Thorne. She was struck suddenly with a stroke and passed to the next life on January 18, 2015. She will be sorely missed by family and friends. Services will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Catalina United Methodist Church with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Catalina United Methodist Church Foundation Fund, 2700 E. Speedway Blvd., Tucson, AZ 85716. Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel.
