Walter Day Obituary

Walter "Hal" Day 81, of Tucson went to be with the Lord and Myra on May 17, 2012. Preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Myra; his sister, Audrey and brother, Denzel both from Illinois. Survived by daughter, Debra (Hank) Adair; sons, Stephen Day and Scott (Brenda) Day; grandchildren, Hillary (James III) Adair Wilson, Taylor (Heidi) Adair, Wyatt Day and Riley Day; great-grandchildren, Ashley, Jordan and James Wilson IV and Tanner Adair; sisters, Joyce Groom of Illinois and Linda Benson of North Carolina. Hal moved and raised his family in Tanque Verde Valley in the early 60's. He and his wife owned Hal's Upholstery on East Grant Road for 49 years. Hal was a past member of the Uptown Optimist, Sabbar Shrine and the Masonic Lodge. Most recently he has resided at Rincon Country RV Park East. A Visitation will be held on Monday, May 21, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Rincon Baptist Church, 7500 E. Golf Links Rd. with Rev. Gordon Vernon officiating. Burial to follow at East Lawn Cemetery. Following the burial a luncheon will be served back at Rincon Baptist Church, all are welcome.
