HESEMANN, Wilma Arnold, age 92, died peacefully on September 5, 2011, at the The Forum at Tucson. Born on March 24, 1919 in Hamilton, Ohio, she was the daughter of George L. and Lydia E. Arnold (nee Trautmann). In 1940, she began a career in the insurance business that spanned 41 years, leading her from Hamilton, Ohio, to Portland, Oregon and eventually to Tucson, Arizona. Wilma was an active member of Faith Lutheran Church in Tucson, where she met her future husband in the church choir. She served as a Sunday school teacher, as head of the Altar Guild, and in various other organizations. She was married to Paul Hesemann, formerly of Chicago Heights, Illinois, from December 1980 until his death in June 2007. Her four sisters, Margaret Baum, Irma Hunter, Esther Weiland and Irene Swearingen, all have preceded her in death. Wilma is survived by four stepchildren, three grandchildren and five nieces and nephews, all of whom reside outside of Arizona. Friends are invited to a Memorial Service at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at Faith Lutheran Church, 3925 East Fifth Street, with Rev. Arlo Janssen officiating. This will be preceded by a graveside service and interment at the East Lawn Palms Cemetery. In lieu of customary remembrances, gifts to her memory may be directed to the Memorial Fund of Faith Lutheran Church of Tucson. Arrangements entrusted to ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel.
