Al Gene “Butch” Ellis, 65, of Hector, died Saturday, December 29, 2007, at Russellville. He was born June 28, 1942, in Hector and was the son of the late Alford James and Emma Margaret Riley Ellis. He was also preceded in death by a son, Gene Allen Ellis. He loved to fish and repair and paint cars, loved fast cars and the outdoors. He is survived by his companion, Sharon Gullett, of Hector; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Paige and Donnie Sterling of London, Kimberly and James Hawkins of Dover, son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Jasmine Gray of Russellville, 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, brother and sister-in-law, Lynn and Renee Ellis of Hector, 2 nieces, Lynn and Renee Ellis, 1 nephew, Ron Ellis. Graveside service and burial will be at 2:00-PM Thursday, January 3, 2008, at Walnut Grove Cemetery with Rev. Terry Rudder officiating, arrangements by Lemley Funeral Service. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday. Pallbearers will be Ron Ellis, Lynn Ellis, Jerry Rudder, Paul Blalack, Chad Rudder, James Hawkins.
