Albert Carpenter

Albert M. Carpenter, 80, of Atkins, passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2013, at home. He was born December 14, 1932, in Mass., the son of Manuel Paul and Rita Boyce Carpenter. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Virginia Lackey Carpenter, daughter, Linda Gail Treadway, 2 sisters and a brother. He is survived by 2 sons and daughter-in-law, David and Vickey Carpenter of Atkins, Keith Carpenter of Denver, Co., 2 grandsons, Paul D. Carpenter and wife Cristi of Atkins, Jonathan Carpenter and J.J. of Whitesboro, TX., 1 granddaughter, Brandi Treadway of Hot Springs and 13 great grandkids. Funeral services are 2:00 PM Thursday, August 15, at Victory Assembly of God Church with Rev. Mike Chisum and Rev. David Carpenter officiating. Burial is in Atkins City Cemetery by Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Visitation is from 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday. Pallbearers are Keith Carpenter, Paul D. Carpenter, Jonathan Carpenter, Michael Perry, Bill Moore. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jo Gatley.
