Albert "Luke" Thatcher Obituary

Albert “Luke” Thatcher, 84, of Atkins, died Thursday, April 19, 2012 at his home. He was born May 21, 1927, in Atkins, the son of Albert, Sr. and Alta Rainbolt Thatcher. He was a retired building contractor and served many years as the Atkins City Building Inspector. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ora Lee Thatcher; and his parents. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Donna and husband Robert McCabe of Atkins; grandson, Will Martin of Russellville; former son-in-law, Leslie Martin of Russellville; two step-grandchildren, Mariah and Kamren McCabe of Nebraska; and a sister-in-law, Mary Catherine and husband Edward “Pete” Simpson of Russellville. Funeral services are 10:00 AM Monday, April 23 at Lemley Chapel. Burial is in Oakland Cemetery by Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Visitation is from 2:00-4:00 PM Sunday. Pallbearers are Will Martin, Robert McCabe, Leslie Martin, Al Hettel, Jim Lemley and Walter Kirkley. Honorary pallbearers are Terrell Rackley, Carl Stubbs, Pat Burnett, Paul Lee Burnett and all the guys from Carl’s place.
