Alice C. Bratton, 81, of Atkins, received her ultimate promotion Saturday , August 2, 2008, at Atkins Nursing and Rehab. Center. She was born November 23, 1926, in Atkins, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Georgia Mae Hutson Johnson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Eulas Bratton, two sons, Doyle and Joe Bratton, two sisters, Lydia Sue Bratton and Georgia Mae Trumphfeller and a great granddaughter, Sageley Breann Sutterfield. She was retired from ConAgra and was a member of Hillcrest Pentecostal Church for 44 years. Survivors include her 3 sons and daughters-in-law, George Bratton of Atkins, Don and Ann Bratton of Alred, James and Cindy Bratton of Atkins, 3 daughters and sons-in-law, Alta and Ray Pruitt of Hattieville, Darlene and Ben Hendricks of Center Ridge, Mary and Ronnie Chronister of Pottsville, 2 daughters-in-law, Brenda Bratton of Atkins, Kathy Bratton of Morrilton, one brother, Elmer Johnson of Atkins, three sisters, Margie Norris of Atkins, Elizabeth Hamblin of Greenfield, CA, and Thelma Lawhorn of Centerville, 27 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren Funeral Service will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, August 5, 2008, at Hillcrest Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Fredie Burcham, Rev. Don Shipley and Rev. Don Alexander officiating. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery by Lemley Funeral Chapel. Visitation was 6:00-8:00 PM Monday. Pallbearers will be Roy Bratton, Ricky Bratton, J.J. Johnson, Vernon Lawhorn, Terry Petty, Andy McAnulty.
