Alvin Lewis, 87, of Atkins died Tuesday January 12, 2010, at his home. He was born October 4, 1922, in Ninnekah, Oklahoma, the son of James Perry and Bessie McFatrick Lewis. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandsons, Steven Robertson and Brian Allen; and daughter-in-law, Carole Robertson. He is survived by his wife Annis Lewis; daughters and son-in-laws, Jenene and James Allen, Sherie and Daniel Allen, Dewala Patton; sons and daughter-in-laws, Ed Robertson, Perry and Denise Lewis, and Alvin Neal Lewis; brother, Bobby Lewis; 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside funeral service and burial with military honors will be 2:00 PM, Friday, at Rest Haven Memorial Park. The Rev. Phillip Collie II will officiate, arrangements by Lemley Funeral Service. Visitation is 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday. Pallbearers will be Bryon Robertson, Devon Marquardson, Michael Lewis, Phil Collie, Sr, William Lewis, Kaleb Marquardson, and Brian Allen, Jr., Honorary bearers are Steven Robertson and Brian Dale Allen.
