Bobby J. Barnes, Sr. 95, of Russellville, passed away Thursday, January 21, 2021 at his home. He was born, July 8, 1925 in England, AR son of the late Luther and Ruth Kemp Barnes. He attended Crow Mountain Baptist Church of Russellville. He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 sisters; and 3 brothers; and his stepson, Ricky Roper. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Barnes; 4 children, Delores and husband Ray Whitaker, Bobby Barnes and wife Kathy, Maryls and husband Robert Cade, Jimmie Sue and husband Wayne Lawson; stepchildren Dennis and wife Tammy Roper; 9 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and 2 brothers, Luther Barnes and wife Kim and David Barnes and wife Marilyn. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Lemley Chapel with Rev. Howard Kizer officiating. Burial is in Atkins City Cemetery under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Visitation one hour prior to the service. Pallbearers are the grandsons.
