Bobby Dale Stracner Obituary

Bobby Dale Stracner, 65, of Crow Mountain, died Saturday, October 9, 2010, at Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center. He was born December 10, 1944, in Cleveland, Arkansas, the son of the late J.R. Stracner and Lula Mae Merryman Stracner McElyea. He owned a C.B. shop on Crow Mountain Road and was known as the “Crow Mountain Road Runner.” He attended Mt. View Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, one step-daughter, Sheila Sommers; and one great-grandson, Michael James White. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Carolyn Barham Duvall Stracner; two brothers, Michael Stracner and Billy and wife Linda Stracner; a sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Bill Eaton; 2 daughters, Bobbie Gail Johnson and Sarah Kay Ratzlaff; 2 sons, Steve Hardin and Robert Dale Stracner; 4 stepchildren, Frances Champion, Janice Tucker, Stevie Duvall and Brenda Irmer; 24 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and numerous other dear relatives. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, October 13, 2010, at Lemley Chapel with Rev. Hank Duvall and Rev. Chad Duvall officiating. Burial is in Bowden Cemetery by Lemley Funeral of Atkins. Visitation is 6-8:00 PM Tuesday. Pallbearers are Clifford Champion, Allen Cowan, Derrick Duvall, John Robert Duvall, J.J. Keener and Lewis Tucker. Honorary pallbearers are Bill Reams, Steve Johnson and Terry Ratzlaff.
