Bobby Gene Jones, 71, of Russellville went to be with his Lord and Savior February 20, 2010, at Salem Place Nursing Center in Conway.
He was born July 5, 1938, on Crow Mountain, Pope County, Arkansas, the son of Lewis and Emogene Dixon Jones. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Duane Jones.
He was retired Army Staff Sergeant and a Field Inspector for the State Livestock and Poultry Commission, a member of The Adoration Church and song leader for many years at Adoration Church.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Martha Douglas Jones; daughter and son-in-law, Bobra and Allen Wilbanks; sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff and Sue Jones, Michael and Rhonda Jones and Jason and Debbie Jones; brother and sister-in-law, John Paul and Janet Jones; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Lachresia and Milton Eoff, Anna Lou and Charley Casto; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, February 23, 2010, at Lemley Chapel with Bro. Charley Casto and Bro. John Paul Jones officiating. Burial will be at Hoskins Cemetery by Lemley Funeral Service.
Pallbearers will be Glen Dixon, David Brock, Matthew Brock, Brock Langford, Braden Langford, John Derrick Eoff, Jared Jones.
