Carolyn Brock Statler, 79, of Atkins, passed away Thursday, May 15, 2014, at the Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home in Russellville. She was born April 22, 1935, in Atkins, daughter of the late John Winford and Dolly Violet Keener Brock. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 57 years, James Vernon Statler; 4 brothers and 4 sisters. She is survived by a son, James Vernon, II and wife Kim of Atkins; 3 daughters, Sheila and husband Tommy Lemley of Greenwood, Tracey and husband Jeff Geren of Ft. Smith, and Shannon and husband Philip Haney of Atkins; 10 grandchildren, Matt Geren, Maggie Geren, Kaci Rood, Shelby Statler, Sarah Haney, Seth Haney, Samantha Rogers, Jennifer Lemley, James Lemley and John Lemley; 3 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services are 9:30 AM, Saturday, May 17 at Lemley Chapel with Neal Chism officiating. Burial is in Atkins City Cemetery by Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Visitation is from 5:00-7:00 PM Friday. Pallbearers are James Lemley, John Lemley, Matt Geren, Seth Haney, Preston Rood and Jeffrey Austin. Honorary pallbearers are nephews.
