Chrystal “Chris” Mae Davison Owens, 83, of Russellville, transitioned from this life to the presence of Jesus Thursday, August 27, 2015, at the Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home in Russellville. She was born August 13, 1932, in Midway, Arkansas, daughter of the late Arve and Mae Horn Davison. Most knew her as “Chris,” but many knew her as “boss.” She was a tireless worker who devoted most of her life to the hospitality and restaurant businesses of the River Valley. She helped manage and hostess at the Old South restaurant from the 1950s-1970s, later serving at Cagle’s Mill and the Russellville Country Club, before returning home to finish her career at Old South. She was devoted to her customers and loved her employees as family. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Darrel Davison; and a grandchild, Logan White. She is survived by a daughter, Susan and husband Tony Lewis; son, Steve Owens and wife Susan; grandchildren, Jeremiah Musil, Colby Lewis, Hannah Owens, Hunter Owens, and Ryan White and wife Victoria; great-grandchildren, Ethan Lewis and Brohdi White; brother, Harold Dean Davison and wife Dorothy; nieces, Cheryl Davison Goldsworthy and LaReta Davison; nephews, Corbie Davison and Darren Davison; and several great-nieces, nephews, family and friends. Her family meant the world to her and she loved them dearly. A memorial visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM, Monday, August 31, at Lemley Chapel under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. A family conducted memorial service will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, September 1, at Midway Assembly of God with Rev. Greg Epperson officiating.
