David McVey, 74, of Atkins, passed away Sunday, April 2, 2017, at his home. He was born May 28, 1942, in Atkins, son of the late Robert L. and Zettie Bone McVey. He was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents; 4 brothers, Delma McVey, Roy Neil McVey, Kenneth McVey, and Shelby McVey; and 2 sisters, Olene McVey and Ruby C. Travis. He is survived by a brother, Doyle McVey and wife Dorothy of Russellville; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are 2:00 PM, Tuesday, April 4, at Lemley Chapel with Rev. David Bishop officiating. Burial is in Oakland Cemetery under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services.
