Doris Robison, 82, of Atkins, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2014, at the Atkins Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born August 22, 1931, in Mississippi, daughter of the late Lester Leroy and Dorothy Miller Rushing. She was a lifelong member of the Pentecostal faith and was an ordained minister who shared the word of God with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and spoiling her grandkids. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 43 years, Ralph Robison; great-grandson, Michael Pfeifer; daughter-in-law, Kelly Robison; and numerous brothers and sisters. She is survived by 4 daughters and 2 sons-in-law, Joyce and husband Keith Bell, Glenda Hobson, all of Atkins, Robin Sanders of Eufaula, OK, and Theresa and husband Eddie Foster of Nevada, MO; 2 sons, Ron Robison of McAlester, OK and Calvin Robison of Cuba, MO; 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Funeral service is 2:00 PM, Monday, February 17, at Ada’s Bells Chapel Assembly of God Church with Rev. Chad Duvall officiating. Burial is in Bells Chapel Cemetery by Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Visitation is from 2:00-4:00 Sunday. Pallbearers are Jason Sanders, Seth Robison, Wayne Robison,Doug Poynor, Jr., Kenneth Poynor, Doug Poynor, III, Charles Pfeifer and Wendell Huggins. Honorary pallbearers are Ron Robison, Calvin Robison, Keith Bell, Ron Shadrick and Eddie Foster. Memorials in Doris’ honor may be made to Arkansas Hospice, 2405 E.
