Franklin Dwayne Petty, 71, of Atkins, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at the Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home in Russellville. He was born January 27, 1946, in Biscoe, son of the late Ruben and Edna Divine Petty. He was a wonderful husband, father, and brother. He loved spending time gardening, fishing, and hunting with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Irene Ramsey, Jean Culbertson, and Genice Dollar; and 3 brothers, Joe Petty, Charles Petty, and Eral Petty. He is survived by his wife, Storm Petty; 3 sons, Clint Petty and wife Elisha, Eric Petty and wife Jamie, and Aaron Petty and wife Hope; 4 brothers, Eual Petty, Doug Petty, Rayburn Petty, and Boyce Petty; and a sister, Ann Lee; 9 grandchildren, Justin Petty and wife Ashley, Austin Petty, Kyle Petty, Macie Petty, Mason Petty, Audrey and husband Rob Kimmer, Avery Coonts, Tucker Coonts, and Carter Coonts; 6 great-grandchildren, Brennan, McKenzie, Olivia, Ethan, Timothy, and Benjamin; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Arrangements are private under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Burial will be held at Walnut Grove Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his honor may be made to Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home, 2405 E. Parkway Suite 3, Russellville, AR, 72802.
